The increased cost of living is biting hard for many people, so the Gippsland Monitor has created a list of dinners in Traralgon that will get you fed for $15 and under. And yes, we mean actual meals.
There are no big fast food chains on this list, and no cop outs with entree items.

Missen Link Burgers
Feast your eyes on some of the burgers at Missen Link Burgers.
There are 10 burgers available for under $15 at Missen Link Burgers.
A classic cheeseburger will set you back $13. There are three different fried chicken burgers available for $13 and a BLT burger for $12.
Missen Link Burgers is mainly a morning and lunch service eatery but they are open 4:30-8pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Pho Nam Vietnamese Eatery
Crispy pork belly bahn mi at Pho Nam Vietnamese Eatery in Traralgon.
Banh Mi options for $14 include crackling pork belly, grilled chicken, crispy tofu with peanut, char sui pork or lemongrass and chilli beef.
Traralgon’s Pho Nam Vietnamese Eatery is open daily from 10am - 9pm.

The Fish & Chip Shop
$15 souvlaki available at the Fish & Chip Shop.
Although the seafood packs will set you back more than $15 there are some burgers available at this Traralgon chippery for under $15.
A chicken, lamb, falafel or fish souvlaki is $15, a double cheeseburger is $14, an Aussie burger goes for $12 and a classic cheeseburger is $9.

Traralgon Pizza
Traralgon Pizza has a wide variety of options.
A classic margherita here costs $12. There are another 22 other pizza options for $13, including capricciosa, primavera, meat lovers, surf and turf, Hawaiian and BBQ chicken.
They also offer bowls of bolognese, carbonara or lasagna for $15.

Okami Japanese Restaurant
Chicken katsu don available at Okami.
Most of the items on Okami’s menu go over the limit, but it has a chicken katsu don for $14.80, fried udon with vegetables for $13.80 and fried udon with chicken and vegetables for $14.80.

Traralgon RSL
Chicken parmas for $15 at the Traralgon RSL.
Every Tuesday night the Traralgon RSL offers a panko crumbed, shallow fried parma topped with napoli sauce, shredded ham and melted mozzarella cheese, served with a side of chips and salad for $15.
