Ultimate guide to affordable eats in Bairnsdale under $20

AJ's Pizza

We’re cheating a little here, but if you share a meal with a friend or two, you can get two large pizzas for $38.50 and three large pizzas for $56.20.

All the classics - including margherita, napolitana and capricciosa - are available.

Lantern Palace Restaurant

Mee goreng or hokkien noodles are $17.80, tofu with mixed vegetables is $16.80 and chicken or beef with vegetables and fried noodles is $19.80.

Doner Kebabs Bairnsdale

The under $20 options include a plain beef burger ($7), double cheeseburger ($10), burger with the lot ($12), doner kebab ($13), chicken kebab ($14) and lamb kebab ($15).

Bairnsdale RSL Bistro

From 12-2pm Monday to Saturday the Bairnsdale RSL offers a $17 lunch special. The special changes daily.

Bairnsdale Chickenland

Customers can grab a whole roast chook for $15, a double beef and bacon burger for $13.50 and a chicken schnitzel burger for $8.

Peppers Fish & Chip’s Takeaway

A serve of flake, barramundi or blue Grenadier will cost you $11 or under. A regular serve of chips costs $9.20. Souvlaki is $14.80 and scallops $3.60 each.
