Loch Brewery & Distillery

The 100-year-old Loch Brewery & Distillery building.

In the picturesque town of Loch sits Loch Brewery & Distillery. It offers a cask aged country ale, gins and single malt whiskeys crafted in the historic 100-year-old building.

In the rolling hills of Korumburra, Burra Brewing Co has a wide range of locally crafted beers, including a miners stout, mandarin amber ale and the classic lager. The brewer also offers takeaway refillable growlers and squealers.

The brewery is a short walk from the Esplanade in Cowes. If you’re ever on Phillip Island for the weekend then stop by and try the hazy IPA, sunlit tropical sour or forbidden magic stout.

On a farm in the heart of Phillip Island, Green Gully Brewing & Distilling offers a selection of hoppy ales. Green Gully is only open on Saturdays from 12:30-5:30pm but you can buy its beers online or find them at several locations around Gippsland.

The lazy hazy IPA and shipwreck IPA won silver and bronze respectively at the Australia wide Independent Brewers Associated Awards.

Five Aces Brewing Co offers hand crafted Gippsland beers with an American style food menu and live music from local bands. Check out the brewery’s Facebook page to see what gigs are on.

Warragul’s Bandolier Brewing offers woodfire pizzas, an R&B night on Saturdays and 17 craft beers on tap.

Grand Ridge Brewery opened in 1989 and claims to be one of Victoria’s oldest breweries. The Mirboo North brewery often hosts gigs and events, and has pool tables.

Had enough beer? Well this 70-acre cidery on the way to Wilsons Prom grows and presses its own apples for cider.

There are 12 taps on offer at Good Land Brewing Co in Traralgon, with tasting paddle options, as well as local Gippsland wines, whiskeys and ciders.

What used to be a 1920s milk factory has been turned into a local brewery and restaurant. The building itself is worth a visit but Maffco Brewery and Distillery offers a lager, Irish red, pale ale and the venue’s own take on Belgian beer.
