Summer is almost here so make the most of it by bathing in the sun at one of the region's many watering holes.

☀️ The days are getting longer, the skies are getting clearer and the weather is getting warmer. Summer is just around the corner. 

🍺 To prepare for the hotter days, the Monitor has compiled a list of Gippsland beer gardens to enjoy on the weekend with friends and family.

Burra Brewing

The beer garden at Burra Brewing in Korumburra.

A microbrewery in the heart of Korumburra, Burra Brewing has a row of picnic tables located out the front ideal for lounging in the sun and enjoying some craft beer.

Gurneys' Cidery

This 70-acre cidery on the way to Wilsons Prom grows and presses its own apples for cider. Just south of Foster, Gurney’s Cidery has a rolling green lawn to sit on and soak up some rays.

Woodside Beach Hotel

The beer garden at the Woody.

Originally established in 1849, the Woody is located between Sale and Yarram, along the South Gippsland Highway. There’s an extensive beer garden at the back of the venue with about eight picnic tables.

The Noojee Toolshed Country Retreat

Surrounded by ferns and set under deciduous trees, this has to be one of Gippsland’s most picturesque beer gardens.

Maffco Brewery

What used to be a 1920s milk factory has been turned into a local brewery and restaurant with a line of picnic tables located out front.

Good Land Brewing Co

Tasting paddles at Good Land Brewing Co.

There are 12 taps on offer at Good Land Brewing Co in Traralgon, with tasting paddle options, as well as local Gippsland wines, whiskeys and ciders. There are picnic tables lining the side of the brewery ready for your caboose.

The Robin Hood Inn

Drouin’s Robin Hood Inn.

Originally built in 1870 this iconic Gippsland hotel has a sizable beer garden with wooden deck chairs and tables.
