South Gippsland and Wellington Shire councils will spend $4.7 million in federal government funding for housing, land, infrastructure and road upgrades before the influx of offshore wind workers arrive in the region when construction begins in 2030.

At the same time, Gippsland offshore wind developers are gearing up to take part in the industry’s first ever Australian auction process.
