Robin Hood and the road to Drouin

The Robin Hood Inn north of Drouin originally served as a stagecoach stop connecting travellers from Melbourne to the Gippsland goldfields and Sale.

In 1877, Henry Dicken opened the pub on the site and the hotel was likely given its name by Dicken due to his love of the English folktale about the man who took from the rich and gave to the poor.
