Results from round six of Gippsland League netball

Moe and Warragul stay undefeated in A Grade whilst Leongatha and Wonthaggi remain on top in the B Grade.

A Grade

At the end of round six the undefeated Moe Lions and Warragul Gulls were at the top of the ladder. The Morwell Tigers are hot on their tails in third place, with one loss this season. Round seven is held over two weekends, with the undefeated Moe side facing off against the Tigers in Morwell on Saturday May 31. 

Top goal scorers: Warragul's Emma Ryde continued to be a weapon on the court, notching 65 of the Gull’s 67 points. Drouin Hawk’s Charlize Traumanis scored 40 points in their win over Traralgon. Sale’s Kate Van der Voort scored all of the Magpies 34 points in their loss against Moe.

B Grade Netball

Leongatha Parrots and Wonthaggi Power remain undefeated after six rounds. Moe Lions are in third place with one loss and Traralgon Maroons are in fourth with four wins and two losses.

The Maroons meet the Power on Saturday May 24.

Top goal scorers: Traralgon’s Rahni Wissmer scored 47 of the Maroon’s 64 points in their win over Drouin. Moe’s Elise Demczuk put 44 through the net in their win over Sale and Warragul’s Zoe Ryde and Maffra’s Stacee Staley both scored 33 points for their teams.
