Six charged over alleged theft of 800kg of electrical cabling and plumbing from abandoned Newborough hospital
Five men and one woman are scheduled to face court in July and August.

Five men and one woman have been charged by Moe police following the alleged theft of 800kg of electrical cabling and plumbing.
Police will allege the haul - with an estimated value of up to $10,000 - was taken from a disused former hospital site in Newborough.
It is alleged that from February to May this year, the offenders forced entry to the site on Ollerton Avenue multiple times.
“Officers recovered an allegedly stolen truck and seized tools and equipment, used to remove copper, on 21 February,” police said. “The truck has since been returned to its owner.”
The five men are aged between 38 and 54, while the woman is 55.
One alleged offender will face Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on July 7, two on August 13 and three on August 20.
